    04/11/2020 - "C" Shift Crews responded to a fully involved shed fire on the 8000 block of Zane around 1430 hours. Initial alarm assignment included BC 3, Engine 1, 3, and 4 with auto aid from Plymouth Chief 4 and Engine 21. BC 3 updated a column of smoke from the station while enroute. Chief 2 responded on the call back.

    04/19/2020 - "A" Shift crews responded to Brooklyn Center on a 2nd alarm house fire around 0100 hours on the 5500 block of Logan. Battalion 1, Engine 1, and Engine 3 responded.

    05/13/2020 - "C" Shift crews responded shortly after 0100 hours for an accident with unknown injuries on highway 169. Initially Engine 3 was dispatched, but dispatch updated that there were multiple injuries in a head-on collision. Battalion 3 requested Engine 4 to respond as well as Engine 1. Crews were updated that extrication was needed on both vehicles. Battalion 3 requested an all call to back fill staffing while crews were out as well as Maple Grove Fire to assist with the extrication. Brooklyn Park and Maple Grove Fire-Rescue worked together to free multiple patients from the vehicles while North Memorial Health Ambulance, Allina Health Ambulance, and North Memorial Air Care provided emergency care and transport. Highway 169 was shut down for a prolonged period of time and Brooklyn Park, MN - Police Department and Minnesota State Patrol worked on the landing zone for the helicopter as well as traffic control. Agencies worked together seamlessly and successfully in freeing all individuals trapped.

    05/15/2020 - "C" Shift crews responded to an electrical fire shortly before 0900 hours on the 4400 block of 85th Ave N for a reported transformer on fire. Battalion 3, Engine 1, and Engine 4 initially responded. Battalion 3 quickly arrived to find a column of smoke and noted the fire was impinging on the structure. Battalion 3 upgraded the assignment to a business fire and requested auto-aid from West Metro Fire. Chief 1, 2, 3, Fire Marshal 1, and Engine 3 responded on the upgrade. West Metro was diverted to our central station to help cover calls while units were out. Xcel Energy de-energized the transformer and crews were able to extinguish the rest of the flames. Crews kept the fire from spreading to the structure and cleared the scene around 1100 hours. North Ambulance stood by at the scene.

    05/27/2020 - "C" Shift crews responded to a reported apartment fire on the 5600 block of 69th around 2000 hours. Initial Alarm response included Battalion 3, Engine 1, 3, 4 with auto aid from West Metro. Battalion 3 arrived to find smoke showing and requested a 2nd alarm.

    06/08/2020 - "B" Shift Crews were dispatched via PD on scene for an apartment fire on the 6300 block of Boone around 1700 hours today. Initial alarm assignment included Chief 1, 2, Battalion 2, Engine 1, 3, 4 with auto aid from West Metro Tower 1 and Two North Ambulances and a Supervisor.
    Chief 2 arrived to find a 3 story apartment complex with fire on the 2nd and 3rd floor extending into the roofline. Police on scene worked on evacuating residents.
    A second alarm was requested bringing in Plymouth with a ladder, Brooklyn Center & Maple Grove with engines, and Fridley with an Engine to stand by.
    Engine 3 arrived and laid a blitz to the alpha side of the structure along with the deck gun to knock down the bulk of the fire. Crews transitioned to an interior attack. West Metro Tower 1 set up their ladder on the charlie side of the structure.
    A 3rd alarm was struck moving Fridley’s Engine to the scene along with an Engine from Golden Valley, Robbinsdale with a ladder, Maple Grove with an air truck, and Coon Rapids to stand by at the station.
    Crews conducted extensive overhaul to the structure and cleared the scene before 2000 hours. We would like to thank those who dropped off cold water/snacks and Hennepin County Sheriff's Office for dropping off Gatorade!

    06/12/2020 - "A" Shift crews responded to a second alarm apartment fire in the city of Brooklyn Center around 0800 hours. Battalion 1, Engine 3, and Engine 4 responded to the 2800 block of Northway Dr.

    06/15/2020 - "C" Shift Crews were dispatched to a reported garage fire around 1330 hours on the 7700 block of Oliver Ave N. Initial Alarm assignment included Chief 2, Battalion 3, Engine 1, 3, and 4 with auto-aid from West Metro Tower 1. North Memorial Ambulance responded on the initial alarm as well. Battalion 3 arrived with Chief 2 to find nothing showing and took command. Upon further investigation, Battalion 3 found a working fire in the structure. Fire Marshal 1 responded on the upgrade.

    Engine 1 laid lines with Engine 4 as a backup crew. Battalion 3 requested a second alarm bringing in Brooklyn Center and Coon Rapids with Engines, Fridley with a ladder, and Plymouth with an Engine to stand-by and assist with city coverage.

    06/18/2020 - "A" Shift crews responded on an initial alarm assignment for a house fire on the 4600 block of Aquila Ave in New Hope around 1100 hours. Battalion 1, Engine 1, and Engine 3 responded on the auto-aid assignment to West Metro. Plymouth fire is on the auto-aid assignment as well. West Metro Chief 1 arrived quickly to find a working fire in the structure with flames showing. Brooklyn Park crews worked on fire control, searches, and overhaul. Brooklyn Park crews cleared just after noon. This fire was reported to have two civilian fatalities.

    06/19/2020 - "B" Shift crews responded shortly before 2100 hours to a reported attached garage on fire on the 8000 block of France. Initial alarm assignment included Battalion 2, Engine 1, 3, and 4 with auto-aid from West Metro Fire. Battalion 2 arrived to find a 2 story residence with what appeared to be a fire out situation. Neighbors were using a garden hose to help extinguish the exterior garage fire. West Metro was canceled. Engine 1 arrived first and laid a bumper line to finish extinguishing embers and Engine 3 and 4 assisted with overhaul. Crews cleared the scene within an hour.
