01/14/18 - "C" Shift was dispatched just before 0430 hours to a second alarm house fire in Brooklyn Center. BC 2, Engine 22, and Rescue 41 responded to the 7200 block of Camden which is roughly a block from the border of the city. Initial reports were that a garage was on fire and PD arrived to find a fully involved attached garage fire spreading into the house. Brooklyn Center Ladder 4 arrived to find a 2 story single family home with heavy fire from the garage spreading into the house. The incident was raised to a second alarm. Crews assisted with extinguishment and overhaul and were cleared shortly before 0700.
01/14/18 - "A" Shift was dispatched around 1700 hours to the 8200 block of Wyoming for a possible house fire. Initial alarm assignment included Chief 1, BC 1, Engine 22 and 41, and Rescue 31 with auto-aid from West Metro Captain 11 and Tower 1. Chief 1 arrived to find heavy fire a single family dwelling with heavy fire from the garage. Chief 1 took command and requested an all call for personnel. A second alarm was struck shortly after which included an All Call for personnel, Engines from Brooklyn Center and Maple Grove, a Ladder from Plymouth, and Fridley to stand-by and cover calls.
Engine 22 arrived and pulled a blitz to the garage along with two 1 3/4 lines to assist with knocking down the fire on the charlie side of the structure with the help of Engine 41. Crews initiated an interior attack to prevent the spread of any further fire. The fire was mainly contained to the garage and crews conducted overhaul for an extended period of time. All units cleared around 2030.
