Around 9 pm on Wednesday April 13th BPFD crews were dispatched to reports of a house fire. BC2, R11, E31, E22 and West Metro Aerial 11 were dispatched on the first alarm. Crews arrived to find a well involved fire on the exterior of the home. Due to the large amount of fire seen on arrival a second alarm was dispatched bringing crews from Brooklyn Center, Coon Rapids, Plymouth, Columbia Heights, and Rogers. After a great job by initial crews on scene knocking down most of the fire, there was very little extension into the attic space. Crews remained on scene for roughly 2 hours doing overhaul and extinguishing remaining hot spots. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. We would like to thank all of our mutual aid companies for their assistance!
