    • To our citizens, Your desire to staff the East Fire Station has been heard by us and many others. Here are the numbers to staff the station with 2 full time firefighters 365 days per year. There are 3 shifts so the total number of firefighters would be 6. The cost to each home will be $11.02 per year or .91 cents per month for each of the 27,200 homes in Brooklyn Park.

Local 5031 had numerous guests to honor at our last union meeting: - Our 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament was held in July of this year where we were able to raise $20,000 for Firefighters for Healing.  Jake LaFerriere, president and founder of this great organization was on hand to receive our donation.

To our citizens of Brooklyn Park and everyone who donated to our Muscular Dystrophy fundraiser we thank you with all of our hearts. Your generosity allowed us to raise $17,825.74 for MDA! This is almost triple the amount from last year! We have managed to set a bench mark and hope to surpass this next year! This money stays in the North Central region to aid those afflicted.
