  • Multiple Fires to End July

    7/25/2017 - "A" Shift was dispatched around 1500 to the 8100 Block of Zenith Ct for a town house fire.

    Initial alarm assignment - Chief 1, Battalion Chief 1, Deputy Fire Marshal 1, Engine 22 and 31, Rescue 41 with auto aid from West Metro Chief 7 and Engine 32. North Memorial Health Ambulance and a Supervisor stood by for crews.

    Chief 1 arrived to find nothing showing from the 2 story multi-family town house and took command. Chief 1 found smoldering wood and siding. Chief 1 cancelled auto aid and slowed any units not on scene. Neighbor stated he saw fire and knocked down the fire with a garden hose. Engine 22 finished extinguishment and overhaul. All units cleared in just under an hour. No injuries reported. 

    7/26/2017 - "B" Shift was dispatched around 2200 to the 6300 Block of 84th Ct for a town house fire.

    Initial alarm assignment - Chief 21, Engines 22 and 41, Rescue 31 with auto-aid from West Metro Chief 3 along with Aerial 11. North Memorial Health Ambulance and a Supervisor stood by for crews.

    Chief 21 arrived to find flames showing on the quad town house and took command. Engine 22 made a quick knock from the exterior and then made entry to find heavy fire in the structure. Engine 22/Engine 41 crew extinguished the fire. Chief 1, 2, and Tower 21 responded in the call-back. Crews overhauled along with the help from West Metro. The incident was wrapped up just after midnight. No injuries were reported.

    7/27/2017 - "C" Shift was dispatched around 2100 to the 7400 Block of Louisiana Ave for a house fire.

    Initial alarm assignment - Battalion Chief 2, Engines 11, 22, and 31, with auto-aid from West Metro Chief 3 along with Aerial 11. North Memorial Health Ambulance and a Supervisor stood by for crews.

    BC 2 arrived to find light smoke showing from the roof and took command. Home owner stated he had flames from the roof and applied water from his garden hose when he noticed it. Engine 22 investigated to find a burnt out attic fan in the roof. Engine 22/Engine 41 conducted overhaul. West Metro was cancelled and the incident was cleared in about an hour. No injuries reported.

    7/28/2017 - "A" Shift was dispatched around 2245 to the 5800 Block of 74th Ave on the 7th floor for an apartment fire. 

    Initial alarm assignment - Captain 21, Engines 11, 22, and 31, with auto-aid from West Metro Captain 11 along with Aerial 11. Chief 2 responded on the call back. North Memorial Health Ambulance and a Supervisor stood by for crews.

    Captain 21 arrived to find nothing showing from the 7 story apartment complex and took command. Engine 22/Engine 31 investigated to find a fire on the stove that was out at the time. Crews ventilated and the incident was cleared in under an hour. West Metro was cancelled and Engine 41 stood by. No injuries reported.

    7/30/2017 - "C" Shift was dispatched around 0300 to the 7900 Block of Lad Parkway for a house fire.

    Initial alarm assignment - Battalion Chief 2, Engine 11, 22, and 31 with auto aid from West Metro Lieutenant along with Aerial 11. North Memorial Health Ambulance and a Supervisor stood by for crews.

    Police updated that there was large flames from the back of the hosue and the entire 2nd floor was involved. BC 2 requested a Brooklyn Park all call for personnel. Chief 1, Chief 2, Deputy Fire Marshal 1, and Tower 21 responded on the call back.

    BC 2 arrived to find a 2 story single family dwelling with the charlie side fully involved. BC 2 stated tactics were in the offensive mode and took command. Crews knocked down the fire from the exterior and started interior attacks. A 2nd alarm was started. Multiple crews rotated in for extinguishement and overhaul. The fire was knocked down in about two hours. Crews remained on scene until about 0700. No injuries were reported.

    2nd alarm assignment - Brooklyn Center Ladder 4, Coon Rapids Engine 3, Osseo Engine 11, Plymouth Battalion Chief 3 and Engine 21 to the scene, and Fridley Engine 1 to stand by at the station.
